Dear Parents Friends Greetings I am missing interacting with your children everyday and am hoping that they are doing well. In this time of changing dynamics for our very existence, I have a small concern that I want to share with you all. Your children are looking upon you for “Hand Holding” to meet this situation. Everything that’s happening around is new, and we need to support each other in every way.

Problem: The Uncertain Future of Career Prospects Fear: As a student personally I am working hard to acquire a degree in a course of my choice, but will I finally make a fruitful career out of it. Dilemma: Given my limited experience in learning should I opt for a job or become an entrepreneur. I worry that I may not be fit or ready to become a part of the workforce.

HITOYA, Over the days I have been asked a number of times by many students that we are scared about this uncertainty and clueless about what to do. I know this crisis is so sudden and beyond imagination. We in our lifetime haven’t faced it so it is a first time for us also. But on reflecting I feel we just need to use a simple F.O.C.U.S. technique. .F. FIGHT against the negative thought process.

In a University environment there is a need for all stakeholders to adopt a proactive approach to enhance the overall learning experience. There is a need to focus on viable solutions to establish a link between acquiring structured knowledge and preparedness for future careers. A planned approach can work in achieving desired goals. As students we face a dilemma of whether to study only for exams or enrich our learning process while being enrolled in an educational institution. Given the rigid time lines, we have to keep pace with the given curriculum and there is little scope to do in-depth analysis of what intrigues us in a subject. The possibilities to explore and discuss with our mentors and peer groups get lost. We become constrained by our schedules and despite an urge to know more we just let go and give up.

It’s easier to get philosophical gyaan about ‘aisa karo, waisa karo’, but now What actually to do and what should be the first step we take is one question that needs to be actually answered. I would not be the best person to do so but can share my experience. Here is what I did in a F.O.C.U.S. approach to actually enhance my learning and happiness quotient. Exercise with a seven minute routine at home and with no special equipment.
